We know that exercise has the strongest evidence in terms of treating musculoskeletal pain and dsyfunction. This means that a simple home exercise program, like those found on this site, are often sufficient to alleviate pain and improve overall movement health. However, in certain cases, guidance from a local physical therapist is needed to modify exercises and provide hands-on manual therapy. If you have pain or are recovering from an injury and your symptoms are staying the same or getting worse, it would be appropriate to see a local healthcare provider.
